How do I obtain a CIK number for my company?
Complete and return the Form ID. You are welcome to provide us with a Passphrase at that time. If a Passphrase is not provided, we will create one for your company when applying for your CIK. The SEC will take anywhere from a few hours to a couple day to obtain the CIK number once we submit the application to them.
How do I get filing codes for my company?
Once the SEC has assigned your CIK number, we are ready to generate your filing codes.
Should I get filing codes for myself at the same time?
If you are now or will be in the near future an officer, director, or principal shareholder for any public company, we recommend applying for your filing codes as soon as you are able. The same Form ID is used for both Companies and Individuals. Each application is separate from one another and may take anywhere from a few hours to a couple days to obtain.
How long does it take to obtain replacement Filing Codes?
If you have your passphrase, replacements can be generated in a few minutes. If you do not have your passphrase, you will need the original Form ID or obtain a new one and request a new passphrase. The SEC will take anywhere from a few hours to a couple day to process depending on their workload.
